Mohamed, Qatar’s Emir in talks
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrives in Doha
Discuss ways to further strengthen relations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, have examined ways of promoting fraternal relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as overall regional and international issues of common concern.
This came during a meeting today, when the Emir of Qatar received His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the delegation accompanying him, at the Sea Palace in Doha.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed conveyed to the Emir of Qatar, greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes for Qatar and its people for further progress and prosperity.
The Emir of Qatar requested Sheikh Mohamed to convey greetings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa as well as his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of the UAE.
During the meeting, attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the pair examined ways of bolstering and promoting fraternal ties in all spheres to serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.
They also stressed the importance of enhancing co-ordination and consultation within the framework of the progress being made by the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) so as to support the joint GCC action to counter various challenges.
The parties addressed overall Arab, regional and international developments and examined views on issues of common concern.
Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the UAE's National Security Council; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani; Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Emiri Diwan, and a number of other Qatari officials attended the meeting.
Later, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad hosted a lunch banquet in honour of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
Officials from both sides attended the banquet.

The visit made by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to Doha, and his meeting with the Emir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, illustrate the strong and historic bonds between the two brotherly countries, Saleh bin Mohammed bin Nasra al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to Doha, has said.
In a statement he made to mark the visit, Al Ameri said the UAE and Qatar are connected by deep-rooted relations that are growing stronger day by day, thanks to the continuous interaction among their leaders.
he underlined the two countries keenness to exchange views on the latest GCC, Arab, regional and international developments.
He added that the formation of the UAE-Qatar joint committee which met last May in Doha, embodied the mutual interest in deepening cooperation in a way that will fulfil the aspirations of the two peoples.
