Emirates brings back joy of flying
The experience of flying on an Emirates aircraft is qualitatively better than all competitors.

Although it won't come as a surprise to many of us here, it's now official: Emirates is the world's best airline, having been recognised as such at the prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards. The award - which was based on 19.2 surveys completed by travellers of 104 countries covering 280 airlines - confirms what those of us who have had the pleasure of flying Emirates already know. The experience of flying on an Emirates aircraft is qualitatively better than all competitors.

The unfortunate reality of modern times is that, on most airlines, the pleasure of flying has vanished. In many cases, airline staff members are unhelpful, even rude, and passengers are crammed into aircraft like glorified cattle, forced to endure flights in discomfort. This is where Emirates stands out. As Emirates President Tim Clark said, "We listen carefully to our customers, and then relentlessly challenge ourselves to deliver and exceed expectations."
The Award - which also singled out Emirates' inflight entertainment as the world's best for a 12th year running - highlights the airline's place as the most innovative and valuable airline brand currently in existence. The Emirates brand, of course, is built on the complete package delivered to its customers, whether through destination options, customer service, inflight experience, and anticipation of the needs of passengers and how best to fulfill them. What better ambassador for Dubai? It is little wonder then that Emirates continues to shine above its competition, much to the annoyance of some international - particularly American - competitors. The simple fact is that the recognition of Emirates' quality may end up forcing other airlines to improve their own practices, benefiting travelers everywhere.
